Top Tools Apps on Android in Switzerland: Q3 2025

In the third quarter of 2025, the tools app category on the Android platform in Switzerland showcased varied performance trends, as reported by Sensor Tower.

QR & Barcode Scanner experienced a slight fluctuation in weekly downloads, peaking at around 4.9K in early July before dipping to 2.7K by early September. The app maintained a significant number of weekly active users, starting with approximately 159K and reaching over 173K mid-September, though it ended the quarter with 154K.

The Samsung Smart Switch Mobile app saw a consistent download pattern, with numbers ranging from 3.9K to 5K throughout the quarter. Active users showed a gradual increase, peaking at approximately 36K in late July.

Google Translate maintained stable download figures, with a notable increase to 4.6K in late August. Weekly active users remained robust, starting at around 355K and finishing the quarter at 345K.

For PDF Viewer＆Scanner, downloads surged to 6.5K mid-July but saw a dramatic decrease towards the end of the quarter. Active users also declined from 22K to around 18K by September's end.

The Authenticator App - SafeAuth demonstrated a steady increase in both downloads and active users. Weekly downloads reached their peak at 4.5K in late August, while active users grew from 26K to over 30K by late September.
